With the help of a few good folks we screwed together a mild 16v 4AG, based on a rebuilt long block I bought which already had TRD forged 12.5:1 pistons in it. The bluetop bottom end was retained – probably not the ideal solution, but after an initial dyno tune with the stock head, the engine got a ported head, with a set of Kelford Cams 193-B and Supertech valvetrain. The usual 20V Silvertop throttles hang off the drivers side with a set of Niteparts headers sweeping up off the passenger side into a 2.5″ exhaust. It managed 150hp at the hubs on a Mainline dyno, not a scratch on @garage4age’s weapon (if youre not following him you really need to) but it’s a handy little thing in the twisties.
