Home | What is a Spintron?
A Spintron is a serious piece of research & development machinery to test camshafts & valve train components and how they respond in an engine. A custom modified block is built, the Spintron then drives the valve train within this engine block. The data from this process is crucial for providing valvetrain stability data to assist in improving both the camshafts and valve train components
Similar to an engine dyno that assists racing teams and builders to squeeze every possible horsepower capability from an engine, the Spintron provides Kelford Cams the ability to perfect camshaft and valve train design to deliver maximum power, stability, and durability.

A quick peek inside an SR20 Cam production without giving up all our manufacturing secrets.
There are several steps to the manufacturing process but we have managed to snatch a glimpse of the SR20 running through the workshop. Camshafts are produced using the latest technology and CNC machines. All camshafts are handled through quality control and constantly inspected throughout the production line by an experienced technican.
Once Grinding and polishing have been completed for each camshaft, the cams are treated with Parcoluberite. What is Parcoluberite? check out our Camshaft Etching Tank page for more info.
